Bernard Tham is a Director of BizAct Corporate Services Pte Ltd.  He spent the first 6 years of his career in the Big 4 professional accounting firms, both in Malaysia and Singapore.  His experience here includes statutory audits of private and public-listed companies from various industries such as trading, manufacturing, plantation and services.  In addition, he was also involved in other exercises such as due diligence review, internal audit, and profit forecast.

Subsequently in 2002 he joined a European-based multinational corporation providing express transportation and distribution services.  Initially he was attached with the Corporate Audit Services department performing financial and operational audits covering the full spectrum of risk faced by the company.

About 2 years later he assumed the role of Regional Internal Control Manager with the same company where he was mainly responsible for the Sarbanes-Oxley project implementation in over 40 entities in the business unit.  Other experiences include risk management, post implementation review of ERP and post acquisition integration exercise.
